Georgia Weapons Laws
This presentation covers the historic changes in weapons laws over the past seven years. The topics
covered include Georgia Weapons License Requirements and Regulations, Reviewing the changes in laws
by the passage of HB 89 in 2008, SB 308 in 2010 and HB 60 and 826 in 2014. The presentation also
covers some of the current Bills passed last year including HB 829 and HB 60. Review of the Use of
Deadly force law, Stand your ground law, Protection of habitation. And questions answered such as, what
do signs mean? Where can I carry without a license? What are off limit locations?
This presentation explains the process of being aware of what is going on around you at all times and how
to plan a response to an abnormal occurrence. This presentation covers the important topics and skill you
need to prevent yourself from becoming a victim. Topics covered are understanding the different states of
awareness and mind sets, using and applying the OODA Loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act), critical
decision making, understanding Fear and Fear management and Personal protection tactics.
Dan is the Primary author of the Georgia Weapons Laws Book, now in its Second Edition, Founder Urban
Survival Center and a team member and contributing author of SurvivalCache.com and SHTFBlog.com.
Over the years, he has taken numerous tactical pistol and carbine training program and routinely trains to
improve his shooting. He is a NRA firearms instructor and holds over 6 Certifications in firearms training
programs. He is a licensed armed guard agent and private investigator in the State of Georgia and
Licensed by the State of Georgia as a Classroom and Firearms Instructor. He also trains in Krav Maga and
currently holds a Advanced Yellow Belt rank and working toward his black belt.
